Film selected in the Real to Reel Craft Film Festival 2018 taking place in London.
Our Common Humanity is a multi-disciplinary project created by the visual artist Juli Bolaños. Commissioned by Edinburgh & Lothians Health Foundation for Royal Edinburgh Hospital.
Juli coordinated this project in collaboration with filmmaker Diego Almazan. The film itself is divided in two sections: The first explores the practice and creative values of Juli as she works in her studio; While the second tells the story of one of Juli´s glass sculptures in stop motion.
The second part of the film itself is a stop motion 12 fps based animation. The whole project has been exported in 23.975fps (native frame rate of the camera used Canon 5D Mark III)
Music. "Finally, the Sun" composed by Dustin Lao and "Wandering" composed by the artist Dustin Lao (lincensed in Musicbed).
